General Overview

The Early/Middle College at GTCC High Point was established in 2005-2006 as a joint venture between Guilford County Schools and Guilford Technical Community College, overseen by NC New Schools. We are located on the satellite campus of GTCC located on South Main Street in High Point. Students have up to five years to earn an associate degree, but they must complete their high school graduation requirements within four years. Students are accepted into the school from throughout Guilford County Schools. All high school classes are taught at the honors level when available, and college professors teach all college classes. In addition, students are encouraged to participate in Service-Learning activities throughout their time in high school. The students represent a variety of countries of origin and speak different languages at home.
